They may look like fiberglass & plastic, but they're real to us!  Our mannequins sit in the window and work very hard to bring people into the store...and they do an amazing job!  It all started the week before we opened when they sat embarrassed in the windows with banners across their naked bodies declaring how humiliated they were.  People loved it and came in in droves.  Others stopped to laugh and even take pictures.  They became instant celebrities (at least in downtown Royal Oak!) and they put the store on the map.  Soon after we had a contest to not only name them, but come up with their personalities.  The winner received a $50 store merchandise certificate, and they became Charlotte & Savannah...even the little pink plastic dog which somehow ended up in the window from the beginning became a mainstay and was named Valentina, Charlotte's little loyal companion.  Thruout this last year, they've had weekly adventures and we look forward to see what they are going to do next!
